About Jutta

Welcome, Namaste’

My journey into Yoga and Ayurveda started in the mid 80’s after experiencing severe symptoms of burn-out and addiction. During this time I was involved in a partnership as an owner operator in a very successful and profitable, chic interior design company in Germany. It was a very fun, materialistic, fast paced, overindulgent and exciting lifestyle, - which left me burnt-out and asking myself, “If there was something more to life.”

I started reading books about Yoga philosophy and practiced meditation, and felt that this was the answer to my inner quest. I completely left my German business life behind and moved to India, with the intention of studying Yoga philosophy, doing social work and experiencing a simplistic lifestyle. I instantly felt at home, and very happy in India. I was very surprised to find that after a few weeks of change in lifestyle, that all my symptoms of burn-out and addiction were gone.

After a year of immersing myself deeply in a simple yogic lifestyle in India, I fell critically ill. This time it was due to food and water borne disease. I tried several western medical treatments without success, and grew weaker as the days past.

My health continued to deteriorate followed by excruciating pain, until an Indian friend summoned a wise old Ayurvedic Physician (Vaidya). This Vaidya examined me using methods that were very foreign, and he then prepared an herbal medicine using an ancient alchemistic process. After a day of taking this herbal medicine, my pain was gone…the healing process had started. It took me 3 months to fully recover, and during this time I was put on a strict Ayurvedic treatment and diet program.

After this profound experience, I wanted to learn more about Ayurveda – and I was blessed enough to find extraordinary teachers. I studied with several teachers and doctors and worked in several Ayurvedic clinics, and received many hours of “hands-on-experience,” as well as living an Ayurvedic and Yogic lifestyle. These special and amazing years in India awakened and brought out a deep feeling of love and passion about the journey of Yoga and Ayurveda in me – it forever changed my outlook on health, healing and really getting to know myself. I found the key to my inner quest. “There is something more to life!”

Over the past 18 years I continued to practice Ayurveda and Yoga in my private life, as well as sharing my passion and knowledge professionally with others. I taught classes in Ayurveda and Yoga, led trainings seminars in Germany, India and California, and developed and led training seminars for a well known, high end German cosmetic company, who developed and marketed an Ayurvedic Skincare line. I also offered practical Ayurvedic treatments and consultations regarding lifestyle and diet. Such treatments bring about vibrant health, clarity, and work to balance the demands of our busy modern lifestyle, and to bring out a deeper awareness to “live completely with what is.”

Today, I am living in South California, and draw more than ever upon the profound wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga, which helps in balancing my busy and responsible lifestyle, and guiding and serving my clients through a unique process. I am also a single mother who is lovingly dedicated to raising my two amazing boys, and continuing my journey of wholeness, love, joy, clarity and lifelong studies.

I am extremely grateful for the extraordinary teachers that have touched my life, among them: Dr.Vasant Lad, A.G. Mohan, Indra Mohan, Dr. Nedungadi V. Haridas, Dr. K.Radhakrishnan, Arun Deva, Gary Kraftsow, the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in South India...my amazing boys, Noah and Bodhi, my family, my friends, my clients and life!

Om Namaha.
