“Shake Off” Anxiety, Chronic Stress, Tension, Trauma and PTSD
In my work with my clients, either one-on-one or in groups, I keep witnessing the power and empowerment of TRE practice. It is a safe, somatic tool which works quickly in down-regulating the nervous system, unwinding and untying the knots in body and mind.
By awakening the body’s innate mechanism of release TRE allows deeper levels of stored memories in the body to be reached, rather than mechanically applied shaking. It clears energy blockages and brings the nervous system back into harmony with a sense of balance.
I am still amazed that it is not yet more mainstream.
This practice was designed as a self help practice and to help one to become more familiar with regulating yourself in daily life. I have witnessed many times that TRE practiced in a group setting or on a one-on-one basis allows deeper awareness and release.
TRE was developed by Dr. David Berceli, Ph.D., a world-renowned expert in the area of conflict resolution and trauma intervention.
In this condensed and short video, Dr.David Berceli explains the tremor mechanism in the TRE practice, and how it integrates the neurophysiological mechanism in its simplicity and complexity to come back into homeostasis after stress or traumatic experiences.
