Set in the stunning lake area of Northern Italy amidst the Alps, this retreat offers a majestic, spiritually nourishing environment with a unique microclimate blending Mediterranean warmth with mountain serenity.
This intimate retreat is limited to just seven participants.
Ayurveda teaches that health and harmony come from aligning with Nature and the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, space). During our time here, we'll connect with these natural rhythms—spacious, alive, and grounding.
We’ll stay in a serene villa set in a lush garden with breathtaking views of Lago Maggiore and Monte Morissolo. Nestled 600 meters high in the hillside village of Trarego, Viggiona, the villa is an oasis of relaxation, offering sunny and shady spots to unwind, sunbathe, or stroll through the forest down to the waterfall.
The comfortable, cozy rooms are warmly furnished with antiques, with most offering balconies and/or lake views. Your private room with a private bathroom will make your stay truly memorable—simply "dolce far niente!”
Each evening, we'll be treated to a delightful surprise as Chef Thomas spoils us with delicious, seasonal, and regional cuisine, including a four or five-course menu and a magical pizza night in the forest.
Each morning, we will enjoy an amazing fresh breakfast buffet!
As a bonus, we'll drink pure, mineral-rich water collected from the village's mountain springs—truly invigorating!
Each morning, Jutta will guide us through movement, pranayama, and meditation to deepen our sensitivity and awareness, along with rituals to explore our essence.
If the group’s flow allows, guest teacher Gerd Ziegler will offer a powerful, healing afternoon of 'Family Constellation Work' through the teachings of Yoga and the Vedas.
Jutta has curated activities and excursions to immerse you in the Eden of Italy, blending local culture and nature without the feel of an organized tour. It’s truly amazing!
We'll take a ferry to the three enchanting Borromean Islands on Lago Maggiore, beloved by Ernest Hemingway. Bella and Madre boast grand residences, while "dei Pescatori" preserves its traditional fishing community. Each island offers its own unique charm.
We'll visit Lago D'Orta and Isola San Giulio, home to a 12th-century basilica and a peaceful monastery. We'll walk 'The Path of Silence' in meditation, then return by boat to the pedestrian town of Orta to enjoy its charming piazzas, cafes, and family-owned restaurants.
We'll take a Sunday morning walk through the forest with unforgettable views, leading to the lively market in the lakeside town of Cannobio. Here, you’ll find everything from local cheese to vintage threads. Cannobio's lakefront is one of the finest promenades, with charming 17th to 19th-century buildings.
We'll also enjoy a beautiful nature walk from Trarego to the lakeside promenade of Cannero Riviera, where we'll stroll past elegant villas, historic homes, and picturesque ports, and savor fresh gelato from my favorite gelaterias!
We will have opportunities to swim in the lake and dip into some refreshing, crystal-clear mountain streams! So healing!
If weather permits, we will hike to the top of a mountain with fantastic views of the surrounding Alps!
We will also enjoy hiking through the magical forests, meditating at an amazing waterfall, and exploring small villages and their local artists. It will be beautiful, adventurous, and heart-opening!
We’ll spend afternoons strolling through the ancient streets of Cannobio, Cannero Riviera, or Verbania, enjoying shopping, gelato, cappuccinos, pizzas, and lake swims.
Jutta will guide you to one of her favorite spots in Northern Italy!

Travel to/from Milano Malpensa:
Arrival: Thursday, July 3, 2025, with a scheduled group pick-up at Milano Malpensa
Departure: Saturday, July 12, 2025, with a morning group transfer to the airport Milano Malpensa
Cancellation Policy:
The $600 deposit is non-refundable unless your spot is filled by another suitable person.
Full payment is due by May 15, 2025.
If you cancel before January 15, 2025, you'll receive a full refund (minus the $600 deposit).
Cancellations between January 15 and May 15, 2025, will be refunded (minus the $600 deposit) and incur a 10% cancellation fee.
No refunds after May 15, 2025.
If the tour operator cancels, you'll receive a refund minus processing fees ($50 for deposits, $150 for full payments).
